Contents (Description on Form) <h3>General Survey Information</h3><p>Please record information about the location and the observation event.</p><p> To enter a location, use the mouse to <b>zoom in to the location</b> of the sighting, then <b>click on the exact point on the map</b> where you made the sighting. The coordinates are entered into the latitude and longitude fields on the form.</p><p>It is important to get the location as accurate as possible. Fields are also provided to record your confidence in the <i>accuracy</i> and <i>precision</i> of your location marker.</p><p>You can fine tune the position of the location by zooming in further, selecting the hand tool, grabbing the marker spot on the map, and dragging it to another location.</p>

Contents (Description on Form) <h3>Expert Support</h3><p>Where a species is identified as 'Uncertain' or 'Not Listed' our experts can assess the sighting and the tentative species identification.</p><p>They can add new species profiles to the field guide if required and can correct the record to show a positive identification as appropriate.</p>
