A preview of Danno and Dannotate at work

Ron Chernich, eResearch Lab, University of Queensland

As Danno and Dannotate are now in a stable pre-production state, we’ve created a promotional video demonstration of their capabilities and placed it on our public eResearch site. A quick link to the Demos page is:

http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~eresearch/projects/diasb/demo.php

Video 1 (8 minutes): an overview of installing the bookmarklets from the live demo page, then using them to create annotations at the page, text selection and image region levels. It also shows using the Danno Repeater to annotate a non danno-aware page

Video 2 (5 minutes): shows the Danno import facility used to import annotations from third party tools-in this case, the Pliny Personal Note Manager.

While we doubt anyone on this list will discover anything really new from these, we hope they will be of use to you in promoting our work and save you time and effort. Please feel free to use them in any way you wish. The “raw” mp4 files are available if you want them.
